What Is Online Poker?
A Strategy Game Loved by Millions of Players
Poker is a card game that combines skill, strategy and a measure of luck. Unlike most casino games that rely entirely on chance, poker gives players who understand how to read the table a chance to make smarter decisions than their opponents. That is what makes poker so compelling — every round is a new challenge.
At ekplus, online poker is designed to deliver a smooth and fair playing experience. The ekplus platform uses an accredited random number generation (RNG) system to ensure every hand dealt is genuine and free from manipulation. This means every player competes on an equal footing.
For Malaysian players familiar with card games among friends or family, online poker at ekplus offers a similar atmosphere — but with a wider choice of tables, more flexible playing hours, and greater winning potential. You can play at any time, from anywhere, as long as you are 21 years of age or above.

Game Selection
Poker Variants at ekplus
ekplus offers several poker variants suited to both new and experienced players. Each variant has its own rules and strategies.
Texas Hold'em
The most popular variant in the world. Each player receives two hole cards and shares five community cards. Build the best five-card combination to win the pot.
Omaha Hi-Lo
Similar to Texas Hold'em but each player receives four hole cards. You must use exactly two of them together with three community cards. The strategy is more complex and engaging.
Teen Patti
This game has its roots in South Asia and is very popular among Malaysian players. Just three cards, but the decisions required each round demand full concentration.
Video Poker
A solo format that lets you play at your own pace. Choose the cards you want to keep, discard the rest, and form a stronger hand to win rewards.
Live Poker
Sit at a live poker table with a real dealer via video stream. An authentic casino experience — direct interaction, physical cards, and a genuine table atmosphere.
Basic Strategy
Sharpen Your Poker Skills
Poker is not just about the cards you hold — it is about how you read the situation and make the right decisions at the right time. Here are some fundamental approaches to master before sitting at a high-stakes table.
Understand Hand Rankings
Royal Flush is the highest combination, followed by Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair and High Card. Memorise this hierarchy before playing with real money.
Play from the Right Position
Acting later in a round gives you an advantage because you have already seen what other players decided. The dealer or button position is the most advantageous.
Manage Your Bankroll
Set a daily limit before you play and stick to it. ekplus encourages responsible gambling — never wager more than you can afford to lose.
Read Your Opponents' Betting Patterns
Pay attention to how other players bet — aggressive or cautious, frequent checks or regular raises. This information is worth more than the cards you hold yourself.
